Jacksonville County Sheriff T.K. Waters told in a press conference that the people are bad, Not the Guns . In his statement he said –
“The story is always about guns. People are bad. This guy’s a bad guy. If I could take my gun off right now, and I lay it on this counter, nothing will happen. It’ll sit there, but as soon as a wicked person grabs ahold of that handgun and starts shooting people with it, there’s the problem. The problem is the individual.”

Backstory
On Saturday, a Dollar General store close to Edward Waters University in Jacksonville was the site of a tragic incident where three individuals lost their lives. The perpetrator, a young white man from Clay County, donned a tactical vest and was armed with both an “AR-15-style” rifle and a handgun featuring swastikas. His targets were two men and a woman of Black ethnicity, and his actions were driven by racial motivations. Following the attack, which occurred a little after 1 p.m., the assailant took his own life. Fortunately, there were no further casualties in the New Town neighborhood incident.
